TD is coming. What do the Leafs need to add and what is the cost?

I guess we best try and get along for the sake of thread longevity

Sure let's add some grit

He just comes on and whines like a baby till the thread gets closed. The whole time missing the point. Dubas said we are going for it, so I have to imagine we add at the TD and we are gonna pay.

Is that better? Some think we need more grit upfront for a deep run? Do you agree?
Dubas agrees. He has been looking for a top 6 forward who is hard on the puck. I agree too. I would like the Leafs to call up Sabourin
I have for about a month now.

It is better. It is not completely misleading like your previous thread. Perhaps we will have accurate quotes with links in this one.
I don't need quotes since many share this opinion whether someone said it or not. Some us think we need more grit for a deep run. The problem is cost.

A goalie if there is a chance Freddy won't be ready by playoffs. A top 6 forward that is a cross between Hyman (Foligno, Jenner) and Simmonds or one that can put the puck in the net (Hall) and a bottom pairing LHD.

I only mean if you make the claim that someone has said something. Like the last thread fiasco.

We need a goalie, depth defence and a winger that can do some of what Hyman does.
Ideally Anderson goes on LTIR until playoffs and provides us with enough cap space to make those additions without detracting from the roster

In order of priority:

- Starting calibre goaltender
- Top 9 rental forward
- Depth defenceman

* I would not give up our 1st round pick or any of our top prospects, as we should be able to address all of our needs without giving them up.

Me before realizing TD refers to Trade Deadline:

Much better.
Another top 6 forward. If he has some bite even better.
A tandem goalie. Nothing special. Another Campbell is perfect.

A depth d man isn't needed. It's time we trust our high end prospect d men in Sandin and Lilly as injury insurance.

- Starting top flight goalie. That could be tough to find.
- Rental forward with grit..no?
- Depth defensemen, should come cheap.

Boone Jenner or Pavelski/Getzlaf

I'd be good with a big body on the fourth line.

We aren't in desperate need for defense but if Ekholm or Montour are available for a low price. You take them.

Montour is not very good and we don't have a need.
