Confirmed Signing with Link: [TBL] G Jonas Johansson signs with the Lightning (2 years, $775k AAV)

Could be a depth signing for the AHL but I think JBB knows what it takes to win cups.
Bill Zito is a great GM but makes 1 or 2 bad moves a year. No GM is immune. I knew he's one of the worst goalies the league has ever seen. I honestly don't understand how he keeps getting jobs, truly a DEL2 level goalie that somehow plays 10+ games a year.

There has to be somebody better out there. An undrafted, unsigned college grad. A random beer leaguer. Somebody.

probably because he's.891 and 775k a year. meanwhile vasy is .899 and $9.5m a year.

Calling out Vasey's SV% from a 5 game sample size after not playing any hockey at all for nearly 7 months. He'll end the season with a .915+. Not at all worried
jojo is a low end backup, being paid like a low end backup. performing like a mid tier backup this season. hes not the problem in tb.

Brandon Halverson is on Tampa's farm team in Syracuse and leads the AHL in GAA & SV%, though only playing in 7 games (4-1-2) I don't follow enough to judge his game down there but maybe the Bolts waive JJ and give the guy a shot

For the near future the back up will have only a small number of games in Tampa. So it works out from a $$$$ standpoint , if the team needs the backup for 20 games like most teams do it would be a big problem. . JJ is just not a very good goalie, he's not a guy that will win 50% of his starts that has been the benchmark for backups. JJ allows goals by the bucketful most nights, but economically that's where the team is.

He would need a contract first, he’s on an AHL deal.
