Spezza gets suspended for 6 games. Absolute no doubt suspension, but the league hands one of, if not the biggest suspensions of the season to 20 year vet of the NHL with no history. OK, sure.

Matthews has a bad cross check on Dahlin. I think suspendable is fair, but not by any standard that had previously been enforced, or should I say not enforced prior. Literally minutes after the play occurred it felt like the DOPS was tweeting that Matthews had a hearing for the following day. Like you cannot even f***ing write this shit at this point.

I am truly blown away how Taylor hall doesn't even get 1 f***ing game for this. Let me get this straight then, next game against the Bruins, we can dress Simmonds to sucker Hall and there will be nothing but a 5k fine? that is the precedent that was set...

IMO the Larkin punch was worse--looked harder and more flagrant.

But Hall's punch was worthy of a suspension too in that it was a non-hockey play, in retaliation, from behind (ie. a sucker punch), and resulted in an injury. He should've got a game. Not that I'm surprised he didn't.

This is where retalition penalties should occur. Clifford playing last night should of been released by Keefe to go after Hall to throw some . I actually wish we had some tougher guys on our team that could flex but we are who we are and I gotta stand behind it all. 1. you'd have a unanimous belief that Auston deserves to be suspended by every fanbase in the NHL. It would not be a question of if, it would be for how long.

2. DOPS would 100% reference the Todd Bertuzzi incident as the comparable, even though I think what happened last night was not nearly as violent.
