What also doesn't make sense is that the refs clearly missed the match penalty on the ice, straight out of the rules, and DOPS still didn't take that into consideration for the fine. Historically the call on the ice is factored into supplemental discipline. Had Hall been give 5 and a game, I begrudgingly could accept no suspension or even fine. But the refs missed the call and now the DOPS does, this?

I hate the “Everyone hates us mentality” But between the DoPS, media, refs, and fans of other teams it’s pretty annoying not gunna lie.

Not only the refs CHOSE not to give Hall a textbook match penalty, the DOPS then condones the suckerpunch on an unsuspecting player that resulted in an injury (concussion very likely) with a frakking 5k slap on the wrist.
