Horvat, Sbisa, Virtanen, Juolevi, 2nd
for
Tavares, Pelech, Dal Colle

Boils down to Bo Horvat, Olli Juolevi and a 2nd for John Tavares as the other pieces are likely a wash.

Basically the Zibanejad/Brassard trade with a top prospect added.

Basically...... even if you were to take out all the other pieces coming Vancouvers way that is a horrible trade. You have to be trolling

Don't think it's good for either teams. Vancouver doesn't have anyone for Tavares to play with and the value going back the other way isn't what NYI should be looking for.

Horvat/Tavares is similar to Zibby/Brassard?

There is nothing that the Canucks could offer to pry Tavares out of NYI.

Tavares >>>> Zibanejad/Brassard >>>>>>>>>> Horvat

Ok so 1)if the other pieces are a wash why are they in there, probably because Dal Colle>=Virtanen(this coming from someone who was really high on Virtanen) and Pelech>>>Sbisa in terms of value. And 2)the difference between Tavares and Horvat is so large, you could add Zib and Brassard to horvat and NYI still wouldnt make that trade.

Im not sure the Nucks have what itd take to get Tavares AND KEEP him, as they likely continue to miss the playoffs.

Other teams make terrible proposals for Tavares, Isles fans reject them, "he'll just sign with us as a UFA lol", another fan gets the bright idea that maybe their terrible proposal for Tavares will be successful, cycle repeats.

If Tavares was available, I'd be super interested in acquiring him.

However we need someone else in a forward position, as Tavares with Hansen and Eriksson can't support our post Sedin offense.

Islanders management won't trade Tavares for smaller parts. Our first will be included. Their choice of prospects, but that's where it falls apart. Our roster players are too valuable to us, but not valuable enough to the Islanders. Sedins? Why would the Islanders want their services if they are trading their biggest offensive weapon? Edler? NTC. Tanev? They have Hamonic....Sutter? Horvat? Hansen? Fine pieces, but not a centerpiece for a PPG center.

Nope, NYI will pick our teams carcass clean if Tavares is the piece we want.

1) There is no reason to assume that John Tavares is available.

2) Vancouver needs to focus on rebuilding, not sending out any decent pieces for a top player. It's important to build a team around one guy. But if you trade your few decent pieces for that top guy, then you will suck anyway. Vancouver doesn't have the depth to trade for a superstar player, even if the other team was crazy enough to send such a player to them.

One of the worst proposals ever, in my opinion.

Try next year IF Tavares agent gives clues he may not re-sign and it's looking like he could head to UFA in 2018.

And if that's the case this package OP is overpayment for a rental.
