I can only imagine. I went to visit their board the other night (dumb I know). I wasn't planning on saying anything but I was so surprised to read a female poster say that it should be her job so support her man no matter what he decided to do and she should have no input on the decision that I said something, needless to say it didn't go over well.

Thought reading the Isles board would be hilarious, but it was quite sad.

It all started when Montreal booed the American national anthem as a way to voice their displeasure to GWB and his decision to send troops to Iraq. But when the Leafs/Isles series started, their fans booed the everliving **** out of our anthem as a way to get "back at us"...even though Toronto had nothing to do with this. Even poor Jamie Lynn Siglar (Meadow Soprano) sang both anthems looked extremely uncomfortable while performing.

Circle back to Gm 3 in Toronto, and everyone at the ACC cheered the US anthem as a sign of respect and to show no hard feelings. But with that, coupled with the extreme amount of physicality and violence in this series, Isles fans couldn't let things go; they ended up burning not only Leaf jerseys, but also the Canadian flag in the Nassau Coliseum parking lot.

I remember the pictures in the Toronto Star vividly. Really took me awhile to forgive that fanbase...and this is why when Isles fan get on their soapbox to complain about us Leaf fans, that they really need to shut their ****ing mouths as they have nothing on us compared to what they've done!

I remember the series and the booing, no idea about the flag burning though, nuts.

As much as I'm finding glee in Montreal's woes these days, in an ideal world, the Leafs will be having epic battles with the Habs for the right to play for the cup. Ultimately I wish your organization well.

Agree completely. I could see people being starstruck by PIT but I have no idea why anyone would even think of ranking WSH above us in this regard.

As far as our 4th line centre, I really like the idea of giving our top 3 guys a few extra shifts per game and finding some sort of utility guy who can play maybe 6 minutes a game or so. 18 minutes a game for our top 3 and 6 minutes for whoever, I see no reason why this couldn't work.

Our 4th line center will not get a ton of minutes in many games it will be 8 or less and under that in lots of games. Once PP and PK time is allotted along with 5 on 5 time there will not be a lot of 4 line minutes 5 on 5. Hyman could see some minutes in the middle of the ice in games if need be. More then good enough to do so.
