Seeing Austin Matthews' Tatoo reminded me of wrestling with the idea of getting a tatoo. When I was younger and in an altered state of mind I was very close to getting the old cartoon Wizard of Oz tatoo.

When I was 18, I thought a tattoo would make me look like a badass mother****er, but after considering it and looking at how it would look on me, it would make me look like a complete idiot instead.

So I have no tattoos.

Living in New York you see a lot of tattoos. You know the Irish and Italians are a bit impulsive. The tatts all generally horrible.

We branded each other in high school with an infinity symbol using a bent paper clip while drunk. Unfortunately, one of them got infected, and I have half of an infinity symbol on my left forearm. Unless you look closely you wouldn't notice it. Lesson learned.

I've never understood getting one on your face. Unless you are a professional athlete or entertainer, it's not going to do you any favors in the job world. Yet I swear I'm seeing more and more face tattoos.

More opportunities for me I guess.
