I believe these are contracts starting for the 13/14 season which would mean Tarasov is still not eligible for call up this season if I'm not mistaken.

SJ finally using their heads...they signed a couple players they were unsure of to AHL deals instead of NHL ELCs to see if they had what it took to be potential NHL players. Don't be surprised if Adam Comrie is signed to an ELC at some point in the near future.

The new owners implemented a Russian affirmative action program.

SJ finally using their heads...they signed a couple players they were unsure of to AHL deals instead of NHL ELCs to see if they had what it took to be potential NHL players. Don't be surprised if Adam Comrie is signed to an ELC at some point in the near future.

Nieto can't sign a contract until his BU season is over...should know his plans relatively quickly once BU is done.

I have no idea if he will because I've never had a reason to ask...if he's healthy no reason to think he wouldn't, even if just to practice and be around the team.

I have asked about Nieto but there hasn't been any comment made.

I'm pretty sure they can negotiate whenever they want...although once they sign on the dotted line their NCAA eligibility is over (even an ATO).

San Jose can sign him but it won't be to an ELC.

He originally signed with Florida but his contract got "terminated" last year.
