Carolina makes sense. They've got to add a top 6 goal scorer I think and Tarasenko might be the best one on the market. Probably looking at a 6x6 type of deal.

I wish the Rangers could, he’s still really solid
He is a pure goal scorer and is pretty decent defensively. I meet him at a bar next to the rec plex (hockey rink) his adopted son played at while In stl. He drinks Stella atois. Lol great guy pound for pound tank. I wish things worked out better for him in stl. Loved him

In...New Jersey?
I meant will he stick in new jersey or go elsewhere. His cap hit is going to be huge for what he didn't produce in playoffs. Canes are a couple players away from being amazing

Tarasenko could wind up with Dallas if they go for the quick retool and add for another run next season while their window is open.

if Tarasenko gets more than 4 years, you can eliminate the Canes as an interested team

Scoring Wingers On The Market:

UFA:
1. Alex Killorn - 64pts
2. Patty Kane - 57pts
3. Max Domi - 56pts
4. Vlad Tarasenko - 50pts
5. Michael Bunting - 49pts
6. Tomas Tatar - 48pts
7. Jason Zucker - 48pts
8. Ivan Barbashev - 45pts
9. Erik Haula - 41pts
10. Andreas Athanasiou - 40pts
OTHERS:
- Tyler Bertuzzi - 30pts in 50 games
- Gus Nyqvist - 27pts in 51 games

Killorn, Domi, Barbashev & Haula all had good playoffs - combined for 39pts in 54 games. Kane, Tarasenko, Bunting, and Tatar all hurt their value, probably significantly, in the playoffs, combining for 13pts in 33 games.

Its a pretty weak group overall... I won't be shocked if no one hits 60 points.

Trade:
1. Mitch Marner (2yrs) - 99pts OR William Nylander (1yr) - 87pts
2. Jake Guentzel (1yr) - 73pts
3. Alex Debrincat (RFA) - 66pts
4. Blake Wheeler (1yr) - 55pts
5. Brock Boeser (2yrs) - 55pts
6. Conor Garland (3yrs) - 46pts
7. Jack Roslovic (1yr) - 44pts
8. Mikael Granlund (1yr) - 41pts
9. Viktor Olofsson (1yr) - 40pts
10. Taylor Hall (2yrs) - 36pts
Other:
- Adam Henrique (1yr) - 38pts
- Kevin Labanc (1yr) - 33pts
- Anthony Mantha (1yr) - 27pts

Some good depth to this group, but there is a chance that one or non of the top 4 guys are dealt, and that a good handful of the rest aren't dealt either.

If, on the other hand, more than one of those top 4 guys is made available, the UFA market should take a real back-seat.

Tarasenko played less than 70 games, was on pace for 60 over 82 (over 60 before going to NYR and PP2). He also had a better pace in the playoffs than Haula, since it seems like you're using points. I don't think he had a great playoffs, but Rangers were a total shit show. I wouldn't be shocked to see him hit 60 again.

Tank was on pace for just under 60, yeah, and I wouldnt be shocked to see him hit 60 again. I just wouldn't be shocked to see him fall short, either... especially since he tends to miss 10 games or so pretty regularly.

And yeah, he had better pace than Haula, but I think most people would say Haula played "his game" these playoffs, and showed what he's good at, whereas Tank didn't really. My point was more that Tanks playoffs didn't help his value but Haula's did.

I think just finger crossed and waiting for Patches to fully recover is a better option. You don't want to sign two over-the-age still performing guy at high price.

I wouldn't want to count on Pacioretty at all. He's missed double digit games every year since 16-17. Coming off back to back achilles injuries, at his age, chances are he'll never be the player he was again.

I also don't think Pacioretty will be able to get near the kind of contract that one of the top free agents like Tarasenko or Bertuzzi will be able to. Patches is probably looking a 1 or 2 year deal in the 4's.

3 or 4 year deal

6 to 7 M

He wants to win so he will pick a team he thinks might win the Cup the next three years. I hope it's Carolina

Also if it's a choice between an even cheaper/shorter deal with a contender and a better contract going to a team that's not a contender I would be surprised if he chose the money over the competition.

Do you even know anything about the players you talk about? He hasn't been a pure goal scorer for several years now and he is not pretty decent defensively, the best you can say about him defensively is that he at least gives effort.
