Enjoyed hearing Gabby tell the Tampa side of the Jeannot story. She forgot to mention that his severe high ankle sprain against the Islanders shortly before the end of the 2022-23 regular season rendered him completely ineffective in the 2023 Playoffs against the Leafs, to the point where Jeannot was a healthy scratch for a few games.
He never found any significant chemistry with linemates in Tampa. While there were times he was effective with Eyssimont, the fact that Eyssimont basically played the Jeannot role much better rendered Jeannot redundant (especially since Jeannot wasn't scoring to complement Mikey's all around dirty work, grinding efforts).
