Hopefully we score a lot of goals but lose. Makes it exciting and helps us with the tank. Then Nashville can hopefully win some and go crazy at the deadline for all the wrong players and wreck their prospect pool for a first round exit :)

I use a shorthand to know what the real (point pct) standings are at any given time: Wins – Regulation Losses. Currently the 22-20-3 Blues are +2. So if I'm speculating where they're going to land, here's the conference:

WPG +14
VGK +13 (fewer games)
DAL +13
SEA +12
MIN +11
LA +10
EDM +7
COL +6
CGY +5
NSH +4
STL +2
VAN -5
SJ -9
AZ -11
CHI -14
ANA -16

In the other conference at the bottom there's CBJ -16, but then a lot of teams near even ... MTL -4, OTT -1, PHI even, FLA +1, DET +1, NYI +4

Blues need to get out of this wretched middle. They're holding the 12th pick but the 7th pick is Ottawa right now (who the Blues just beat because Talbot is dead set on tanking). I wouldn't even hate a win streak that gets them suddenly and randomly right in top Western playoff contention. But this middle is not good.

Exactly. Blues need to decide if they just want to lose or win. This win one lose one BS needs to stop.

If Blues beat Nashville tonight in regulation they're both +3 (with NSH a tick higher in point pct because they did it in fewer games). It's viscerally impossible to root against the Blues as the games are unfolding so I guess I am technically rooting for this outcome but they can also feel free to continue disappointing so that their overall strategic position is improved.

I love the commercial where Chase and Twister beat up Pang......

I just want them to pick a road. Lol.
