I’d never seen his player card this is pretty insane lmao. Surprised PK is so low?

So grushnikov is a former 2nd rounder who is trending pretty well? So kind of looks like two 2nds and a conditional 3rd?

I don’t remember him from that draft year

Quick rundown on Grushnikov for y'all from someone who watches him every game:

Good defensive dman. Puts the stay at home in stay at home dman. Almost never gets involved offensively and can't recall the last time he joined the rush, but that's not who he is. Good defensive stick, good skater, and physical (likes to throw a hip check every once in a while).

Probably a lower end 2nd pairing dman at his peak, 3rd pairing guy almost guaranteed at a minimum.

Happy trails Chris. Real easy guy to cheer for. One of the most technically proficient defenseman that has ever played for this team.

As far as the return goes that seems decent, was maybe hoping for a 1st or better prospect based on how many teams were in on him but what is essentially two 2nds and maybe a 3rd is quality for a guy with the kind of miles Tanev has.

Do you watch a lot of AHL hockey? If so and if you catch the odd wranglers game could you offer a comparison to Kuznetsov and Solovyov. Seems to have a similar play style

How far away from the NHL do you think he is?

Having the Devils retain for a pick makes it look like Calgary has no interest in retaining salary. This doesn't look good for the Hanifin trade.

What? Flames can only retain 50% and they did. Devils retained an additional 25%

Russian Tanev. Like his compatriot Yan Kuznetsov
