Took a too many men penalty late in a playoff game vs Habs. Habs tied it late on the PP and won the game in OT and then the series.

Kerfoot thought Tavares was coming off at the same time that the defenseman who was replaced by Giordano was coming off.

That is 100% on Kerfoot. A coach never tells players when exactly to change, only if it is their shift. Kerfoot needs to be sure that Tavares is coming off and he didn't do that.

It seems stupid that an NHL coach needs to remind his players of that but when you have taken this many too-many-men penalties, you have to tell them. Especially when refs are calling us a lot closer than other teams.
