They have no choice. It's still a good game from them.

That's not true. You always have a choice. After the win yesterday, the obvious choice would have been to start Ritz in goal and play Karrer / Siegenthaler for about 10-15mins depending on the score to rest them a little bit. If it ends in a bad way, so be it. As I said...can't win every game if you just got 2 defenders and 6 forwards and if you have to play 4 games within 5 days. Gotta focus on what matters and that's the quarterfinals.

Gotta get their first. All coaches ride their best players - this isn't any surprise.

Some thoughts on the game.

Very impressed with this Swiss team, as I am almost every year. I cringe at Swedish media still talking about Switzerland as a trifle of an opponent. Hischier is a hell of a player. I'd be surprised if he isn't picked before Liljegren in the draft.

Ahl and Lööke are anchors on their respective lines. Lööke is among the worse passing forwards I've seen play for Sweden at this tournament. For the life of me cannot understand why he's on the powerplay.

I really hope Kylington is getting his wiggles out in the group stage. You can so clearly see the talent. Great skater, good passer. But he really, really needs to be smarter. He gave away chances against Denmark, and even more against Switzerland. He'll never get away with that against the top teams from the other group.

Not the way we do...and not back to back when you're asked to play 4 games in 5...5 in 6 with the quarterfinals. I still think that it was wrong. And I called it from the beginning.

I really like Grundströms energy. Hope he stats on the 1st line with Eriksson-Ek and Nylander.

Bad discipline and some really stupid penalties is not very smart with a passive and weak box play.

Switzerland have some fantastic prospects but lack the depth and I think it showed in the third period.

4p in 2 games as underager is ok, but sure he can be even better.

I thought Nylander was pretty good today. Made some good passes in the neutral zone and offensive zone, created some dangerous scoring chances.

Best player was Grundstrom though, again. What a steal Toronto got.

Grundström wins thanks to attitude. For me he was a 1th rounder last season to.

Good active coaching today. Watching the TOI distribution I would've guessed Grundström played even more than he did, he was pretty much visible every shift he played. Stretched over two games, he's been the best Swedish player so far. Eriksson Ek up there with him, but in a more laidback fashion.

Even if the goals came late the score was more than fair, I'd argue Switzerland didn't have enough offense to score two aswell. Was a tough game for Sandström with shots coming far between. Not to take anything away from Switzerland's effort, they worked hard, arguably harder than us at some points of the game.

The defense is a bit all over the place, not bad individually but have not come together as a unit yet. But at least they are kept fresh for later by rotating seven guys..

I am conflicted by the coaching, while it was good that he mix around the lineup a bit, which we have never seen with Grönborg, but he also reduced Dahlins ice-time in the 3th period, which is just weird when he clearly is our best d-men. His age should not keep him on the bench.

Really entertaining game today, but i honestly dont understand some swedish posters... your team played amazing today, the pressure, cycling, board battles. Doesnt get better than this.

We have VERY different definitions of the word "amazing".

I saw a lot of sloppy plays, bad defence and being outworked by inferior players in stretches.

Nylander looked better last season.

I'd say that when you have tham much possesion and outshoot your opponent by 30, you can consider yourself pretty damn amazing.

Swiss were puckwatching most of the time, and in the 3rd could not keep up with the tempo at all.

I can't believe Larsson actually played games in the NHL this year. He's been perhaps our weakest D-man so far.

Decent game. Sandström, Kylington, Larsson and Pettersson really have to step up to the plate if they're gonna be relied upon. So far Eriksson Ek, Grundström and Andersson and to some extent Nylander have been impressive, Lööke is also being seriously underrated IMO. Unfortunately the defense has not been up to par except for Dahlin but the coaches has made it pretty clear that Kylington and Larsson can suck however hard they like and still get premium minutes. Kylington really needs a new brain for the love of god think before you ****ing act. He literally has all the tools to be a great offensive dman, but the decisions.. sheeesh

Asplund was great this game as well.
