Czechs AINEC 😃.

Kudos to you and the other poster for these awesome threads

Last 20 years: are our versions of Jagr and Hasek done winning Rosses and Vezinas, or can we assume they’re at late 90s peak form?

If we’re allowed to use players from the last 25 years instead, then I imagine Nagano Hasek and peak man-army Jagr wins this on their own :)
Any team involving peak Hasek would make it really hard to beat. The other team would have to have a significantly better overall team to overcome that. He was just that much better than everybody else.

They do have the king in their net!

Pretty clearly win for SWE.

However, hoping Czechia will become what it once was (in strength vs. the other top Euro nations). After many rough years, it appears some quality prospects are coming up. Hopefully the coming 20 years will not be as dark for the Czechs.

Roughly 2005 is when it all went to shit for us.lol We got a freak gold in 2010 but that is about it.

Feels like we are on an upswing but we need about a dozen new and good players to join the NHL to become relevant. Some brother combo's may help with this... Svozil's, Jiricek's, Kos's and Galvas's.

also what i think.
Czechia (barfname) has all but completely stopped producing elite players this century, and are so far removed from their glory days as Czechoslovakia

but, if you get Prime Hasek and Jagr you can beat pretty much anyone on any given day, and you are the favourites against Sweden here…. although Sweden is wayyyyyyy deeper.

Would be a good one, but i dont vote against prime Hasek with ANY kind of team better than Peca, Audette and Satan in front of him.

I wish you guys would just rejoin with Slovakia and put together a team that can give us a real, honest Big 6

It would make ZERO difference and actually hurt hockey. Sounds crazy but...

Merging 2 countries into 1 just eliminates a potential good opponent and kills a program

Currently, I don't think 3 Slovak's would make the Czech team and none of them would change our odds at all or make it a big 6. Eg. does adding Tatar to the Czech team really swing it that much (would he even make it)? Cernak would help for sure and would be top 2 for us. Maybe Ferharvy but is he that big an upgrade over Jan Rutta? Halak is probably not making it ahead of Vanecek or Vejmelka and, even if he does, are we that much better?

The team would be 90% Czech and Slovakia would lose it's program. The opposite of what I want to happen to Slovakia. In a few years... Nemec and Slaf could really help though. I'd much rather a big 7 and Slovakia gets strong again.

The country we could merge with to make it a big 6 is Germany... put Drai as our 1Cb(with Pasta), Seider as our 1D and Grubauer as our starter. Toss in Stutzl and now we're a legit threat. I obviusly don't want that either but if we're merging, I want those 4 Germans.

Swiss would be another.. Josi as our 1D and they could give us some damn good forwards. Again, I'd rather swiss and Germans just keep getting better.

Even better, I want the Czechs to produce 4 players similar in quality... Maybe Sale, Jiricek, Kulich and Hrabal are those 4 in a few years. Or they all bust which is also possible.lol Necas seems to be a riser too (small sample size for now).

I will say we could combine and make a heck of a U20 team this year if everyone was available... Kulich, Jiricek, Nemec, Saflovsky, Mesar is a nice start! Elite forward, 2 very good forwards and 2 elite D (for the age group). That team would be about 50-50 from both nations and would be strong.
