Going off what he actually achieved pre-draft and his skill-set instead of his height he should have been a ~4th-5th round pick at worst realistically.

Eh most of the small guys succeeding now have some meat on their bones.

Soderlund is 160 pounds, and Gord mentioned that when he talked about his draft status. Teeny tiny.

Most of the time thats true, but you shouldn't feel bad for him. He'll most likely be in the NHL in a few years. Cernak, Ruzicka, a few other Slovakian players will probably also play in the NHL, but a lot of those kids are playing their last big stage game.
