Yeah that's the weird part to me...Like if you want to hold onto him until Christmas day(but again why?) why not just announce that he will be released to the team on whatever date they decide on....Just seems like a really weird process.

Exactly! You're keeping a team hanging while you mess around. Sweden has its own preparations to make and if Nylander does get released, let's not forget that Sweden has to make another player cut.

So much for waiting until next week. I knew that quote was being misinterpreted.

With Nylander, Sweden are absolutely stacked. Arguably the best team on paper now, and clear gold medal favorites alongside Canada and the USA.

Russia and Finland form a second tier behind the Big 3, and the rest of the teams are down in the third tier, IMO. This tournament will be a real clash of the titans, with some really good teams this year.

I'm still abit salty that A. Boqvist wasn't selected. I think the Swedish staff as always took the safe bet instead of adding some flair to the squad.

Great news adding Nylander to the roster!

Our D’s have always been great, now the forwards are looking good also.

Might choke as usual in the semis tho.. hopefully not and i think we’ll see a final between FIN and SWE

Iv'e always gone up so much in the WJC, but to be honest why are we destroying this year? We do have a good team but tbh it doesnt look so much better than the 2013 WJC with Forsberg,Lindholm,Wennberg etc. To me the first line is elite but the bottom 9 looks average.
