What’s holding things back? Makes too much sense to show him off locally to the Sabres fans.

Takes like 15 minutes for him to join the team. Guessing they want him to have full focus on tonight's AHL game before releasing him.

Isak Wallin is making Montén look stupid. He's been absolutely amazing and is now #2 in the entire Allsvenskan in SVS% and GAA.

The national teams have never been good at giving multiple goalies the chance to prove themselves. Same goalies year after year.

Roster selection has always been a bad habit of swedish coaches. Thankfully canada is making a lot of mistakes lately.

Canada making mistakes is a matter of opinion, from an outsider it may appear that way, though it may not actually be true.

Canada still think this is a 19 year old tournament. Skill > experience

Like I said, you think just cause they aren't loaded with 1rd picks that they are making mistakes, well it does not mean that, they are making the best team, not the best players, because the best players don't always fit, also age is not a factor.

Just like anything there isn't a "right" way to win a tournament. Just the last way it was done. Teams have won this tournament with many different types and styles of teams to say that a certain roster construction is just inherently bound to fail because they are an old team is kind of ridiculous.

This was the pairing in the summer too and they played well. Looks like they hope that success continues.
