I honestly didn't think Canada would pull it out against this Sweden team. It's nice to actually go into this tournament without all the pressure (granted there is still home soil pressure).

Canada the better team from the start. But flopping around and diving like they do is disgraceful. I've never had a beef with USA and their team. Hoping they can spoil the fun for the Canadian team and shut up their fans.

Them fans are phonies Booed Canada off ice vs Czechs lol USA will beat them watch and see

Sweden had nothing against Canada. Absolutely nothing. To whine about the refs when they missed some both ways is totally uncalled for. Back to Tukholma boys ;)

Something is wrong on a fundamental level when it comes to sports psychology in Swedish youth development. It is, of course, not a coincidence that we year in and year out break down when it matters.

Not necessarily. But Swedish development tends to favor a more calm, poised, and cerebral game, which might not necessarily translate in a short, knock out tournament like this. I don't think there's an issue, as in terms of pure game breaking talent, Sweden was never quite up there. Though neither is Canada.

All Hart all the time. Great game for Canada, not a weak link among them(other than Ingram). Play like that against the US and sow this mother up.

Why 430p PST on a Thursday for the gold medal round? Brutal.

What's wrong with a standard 7:30 EST start time?

They don't control when Boxing Day happens (the beginning of the tourney). They definitely shouldn't wait until the weekend to play the final.
