Sweden is a clear favourite today. I've watched almost all the games in both pools and they have simply been better throughout the tournament. Yes, they haven't been battle tested against Russia/USA/Canada yet, but Canada has only had short stretches in either of those games where they appeared to impose any sort of dominance. The only way this version of Team Canada wins is by committee, especially from the bottom 2 lines, as the top 2 are poorly formed, and Strome has been a dud at even strength.

I really hope Canada plays their best game of the tournament and takes this.

they will.

They are due for a good game.

Canada is not the better team, nor do the have higher top end skill...but there is something about beating Canada in Canada on this type of stage...

Nobody knows who will win, I'd say it's a coin flip, and I can't wait to watch it all unfold

Not super confident about this game. I think Canada will win but I think Sweden has got a good chance at winning as well but I don't think they are as good as some seem to believe. They haven't really faced any really good teams yet so it's hard to gauge.

Sweden should win this one. Canada needs excellent goal tending, and to score on a high percentage of their chances. I am hoping for Canada but they are up against it.

Hoping Canada comes out on the ice like Gorillas coming out of a cage!

As long as they don't come out like this we should be good

The game we choke in. Not that losing against Canada is choking, but they'll play their worst game after basically dominating 5-6 in a row.

5-2 Canada.

Sweden should win this easily. I can't remember such an uninspired Canadian team with such terrible goaltending.

Yes Connor Ingram had a bad game against the Czech's. Are we just going to pretend that Felix Sandstrom was awesome against Slovakia when he was anything but? For both Sandstrom and Ingram this is a bounce back game. Sandstrom's play against Slovakia is not a story because of how badly the Swedes beat up on them plus the final score. It was actually 5-3 at one point after the Slovaks scored three consecutive goals. We also going to pretend that Ingram's impact on the USA game wasn't similar to Woll's when in actuality it was close?

Having missed most of the tourny this year, is alex nylander the best player on either team?

I think Nylander may be the most offensively skilled forward on either team but Eriksson Ek may be the best all around player. Chabot is the best Dman at this point in time.

Nylander will be caught taking illegal cough medicine suspended for the 1 game Canada wins 3-0

As much as I want Sweden to win I think our D is to weak for Canadas O.
3-1 Canada.

Canada's D is pretty weak for Sweden's O as well. Whichever team can forecheck better will win this game because neither team's d-men are super great at moving the puck under heavy pressure.

I think that if Canada wins the Cirelli line will be the best line of the game.

6-4 Canada.

Barzal with 4 points, Chabot with the GWG and 2 assists.
