This is a quiet thread for a medal game. Where is the angst about Sweden getting "gifted" a 5 on 3? Or that there is a Canadian referee and linesman in this game.

It's a bronze medal game one day after the semis at this point it's a ****ing participation award game.

Good thing Russians can't forcheck or play with the intensity of Canada, we can actually win it then. Might just have jinxed us though

Neither team seems to care all that much about the bronze. I don't blame them, playing for the chance of getting a loser medal is dumb.

Bit of a sleeper so far, maybe someone will throw a big hit and get the emotions going.

That's just insulting it's a BRONZE MEDAL GAME it's worth NOTHING.

It's awfully hard to get excited over the 3rd place game.

Just gonna watch the GMG and hope Canada gets seriously ****ed up

For a team that has won one gold medal at the WJC it seems odd that the mentality would be gold or bust

40 straight wins in round Robin 11 straight years in the semis Yeah a bronze medal game is such a ****ing treat

There are 5 different gold medal winners in the past 6 years. Gold or bust is nice in theory for any nation, but not a reality anymore. Pointing it out for Sweden is like talking about Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup victories. Sweden has 1 gold and 2 sliver in the past 6 years. Canada has 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.

Player of the tourney for me, easily (unless Barzal has something extra special in store for tonight).

Kaprizov is clearly the best player in this tournament.

Had he scored his penalty shot yesterday, he would have gotten the MVP award, no question.

I like kaprizov. Great talent and seems to be a modest young man. Scored some big goals in this tournament but no over the top celebrations. Good on him

Kaprizov is such a stud. I wish he scored his penalty shot yesterday. It would have been an epic winner.
