Mtl - Magnus Nygren

For

Phi - Robert Hagg

Both players seem to not have a future with their home clubs, more or less a change of scenery trade. I was hoping Nygren would of gotten a chance with the Habs but I think those bridges were burnt a long time ago.

I would be ok.... I know not much about Hagg but we all know that Nygren will never play here, so why not let him go anywhere else

Not familiar with that. Can you elaborate? Hagg is getting lower on the d prospect list with the Flyers and could be had. Not a bust yet but getting closer.

Nygren is more an offensively gifted dman with a powerful slap shot, plays RD, probably ends up being 3rd pairing and able to get some power play minutes, most likely on the second wave. He should be good enough to be a regular at the NHL level, just needs a chance to prove himself.

He was getting close to moving up to the NHL when he decided to leave Hamilton and go back to Sweden because he thought Hamilton was a trailer park trashy place to live and he deserved better.

With Ghost, Provy, Sanheim....we don't need an offensive Dman.

By all accounts, Hagg was having a good year before his injury.
