During the NBA and NHL bubble playoffs in 2020, the coaches weren’t wearing suits during games. It has caught on in the NBA where coaches continue to no longer dress in suits during games on the bench. While in the NHL coaches went back to wearing suits the next season. Do you like coaches wearing suits behind the bench? Or would you like to see a more casual look like in the NBA right now? It doesn’t affect anything, but still curious to see what people prefer that’s all. What do you think looks better?

I prefer the suit.

It's a classic, adult look.
Agreed.
They should be encouraged to get creative with it though.

They should be in full uniform like baseball managers...

Seriously though, I've always found the whole "arrive to the game in a suit" and coaches wearing suits to be so silly. Always gave off an air of superiority and properness just for the sake of it. Players and coaches should wear whatever they want to the game.

Edit: Alright maybe not "Whatever the want", but definitely more casual.

Full gear only, like baseball.
There's a rule in baseball as to why a manager has to wear the uniform. Nobody other than umpires or officials or whatever they're called in MLB is allowed on the field unless they are wearing the uniform. Seems kind of silly but interesting nonetheless. I always wondered why managers wear the teams uniform.

You know, in general I agree 100% but something does look off about the no suit look in the NBA to me. I didn’t think I’d care, but I kinda do. I don’t know, weird.

The NBA guys were still wearing team apparel and I don't think it looked weird. I don't really think it matters. Could do something similar to what the NFL coaches do. Would probably be more comfortable too.

If the NHL was being formed today and someone suggested coaches should dress in suits, I'd bust out laughing. "Yeah, sure! And if you're making it into a formal ball, why not perform the national anthem?? Hahahah!!!"

Objectively, the pageantry is silly, but the stuff you grew up with is always the best.

Coaches wearing suits does look classier but I honestly don't care
I watch the NBA when they transitioned during COVID and I got used to it after a few games.
Plus all of them (as far as I can tell) just wear the team's trainer jacket and pants so it not jarring in any way

Coaches should wear suits. The lowest point in Rangers history was Jean Guy Talbot and his tabernacle warmup suit
