he was right on top of it, he was not out of position, blew it down.
I understand where he was, the broadcast even said it. There are 2 reasons a ref would blow the play dead in a situation like this. 1 they can't see the puck or 2 the puck is covered. The ref as we agree was right on top of the play so didn't lose sight of the puck. That means he thought that Kwachuck has the puck covered and upon review saw the puck wasn't covered and reversed it. That is what I take from what I saw.

It does not matter if the whistle was blown in error or mistake, it's a dead play whether Krawchuk has it covered or not.

anyways team got a point out of this, great first period, and hung in rest the way. Krawchuck had another good game.
Yep, chucky is the only reason we didn't blow the game completely in regulation

Unless it's an imminent scoring chance, ie if we knock our net off and the puck goes though the normal position on the net on an imminent shot the goal counts.

You contradict yourself here. Ref is to blow the whistle when they can’t see the puck. If he ‘thought’ the goalie had it covered, it’s because he can’t see it. I.e. play is dead.

They aren't the same situation, refs lose sight of the puck if players are blocking his view of the puck. Another example is if the ref was on the other side of the net and the players were obstruction his view he could blow the play dead. Happens all the time when a ref has a quick whistle.

Puck was under the blocker, which is when the ref should have blown it dead. Clearly shoved from UNDER the blocker to his pad, and then into the net. Should not have been a review.
It was under the blocker but never secured, it ended up a distance from the blocker before it went in.

Goal or not you have to play 3 periods to win and that did not happen. Chucky as previously mentioned was the only reason we got a point. Coaching staff is doing a remarkable job with what they have to work with, but they need more. GM has to add some more scoring punch if we hope to make the playoffs after the deadline.

The milk has been spilt, stop crying.
It’s over. Humans make mistakes. But mistakes are happening way too often and it’s hurting the league. I can see why it was called a goal, but ref was adamant it wasn’t when he blew the whistle (whatever his reasoning we’ll never know). But the true embarrassment is when a Coach can influence an official to change his mind changing the outcome of the game. Barrie fans understand what Wolves fans are feeling this morning, because it happened to them in playoffs against Oshawa.
Let’s look forward to another great match up tonight.

Refs have been awful since last year's playoffs imo, for both sides. They are not consistent in their penalties, they do not clear debris even when risk of an injury, they seem to get in every players skating lane, causing players to lose the puck. They don't seem to position themselves well near the goal line. They review way too many calls as well creating major delays on every goal. I think the OHL needs to do some self-reflecting on their refs as it's become a joke.

And replay obviously showed he made the incorrect call, otherwise he never admits getting the call wrong.
you won't convince me that this call should have been reversed, total garbage call.
