What are people's thoughts on D, Nolan Jackson?

I saw him play a couple games last season & thought he looked great - was very high on him coming into the season.

Early in the season I thought he was playing good "safe" hockey and didn't stand out in any way - typically a good sign for a young defensemen not making mistakes.

In the games I've seen recently I think he has struggled.

Playing D in the OHL/CHL isn’t easy for any 17/17 year old. I agree with your assessment this far but I will say he is making the necessary adjustments and I find he is less noticeable and more reliable in his own end. I’ve seen flashes of high offence ability were he can lead and join a rush. I will predict once his comfort level and confidence continues to grow you will say a very good two way DMan..

He had a couple of tough weeks but once he got back into the lineup from being a healthy scratch he’s been much better in all zones.

The more I watch Bionda the more I see him being a real stud. May be time to give him the green light on some shifts, this kid can wheel. What are your thoughts

I see obvious potential...But he's one kid I don't think you can "give the green light" He's very irresponsible still coming back. I at times feel bad for his d partner (lately I think it's been Jackson). At times I've seen 1 Dman back under pressure and Blonda is still just getting through the Neutral Zone... Especially against good forechecking teams. It's not his puck skills that are lacking simply his defensive responsibilities. I don't even mind his Defensive game when he's in position... but that is only 75% of the time...the other 25% you just have to hope Delic or Henderson are on the ice to back check. IMO of course

He still needs defensive work and he needs some help in his decision making but he's on the right track. There has been clear improvement in his game from September to now. Probably after the trade deadline he'll get a top 4 shift if the other areas of the game have improved.

He will be scary good when he is 18 &19 years old. I believe he just turned 16…he has all the tools to be elite and he’s getting great guidance from his coaches so as he progresses he’ll be a treat to watch.

Just saw Musty was injured. Feel horrible for him + hope it doesn't affect his development.

Wishing him a speedy recovery! Wolves have been on a tear lately!
Going to be interesting to see whotakes a flier on him and trades for him anyway. London is stocking up on picks. Imagine them with Musty and Cowan on the PP

Musty is not considered a flyer by any stretch. He is elite and this was proven by his return to the Wolves with his just under 2 ppg production before being injured. He scores big goals and gave Sudbury a chance to come back into games. Remember now he is not playing with Goyette and Dvorsky and still able to produce at torrid pace. His hand will be fine. He is young and healthy and will heal but I'm sure from deadline to end of the year some team is going to be quite happy that they dealt for him. Not a flyer he isn't going cheap!

MY bad I didnot mean that he was not a good player. The questions that come up are how is his hand how long will he be out.
A team that is fighting for a playoff spot or to be at the top may not be interested if ehty can not get uhim until just before the playoffs. While a team like Windosr or London can wait.

Yes you will still get a good price for him I just kind of wonder if it will be a little lower due to the ijury no onw will ever know though

Point taken. I guess the price will be determined by how many teams really want him. I personally think 2 or 3 teams will likely make a big push for him. How can they not he is a huge piece offensively for a team looking to win it all.
