Wrong answer.
Buddy vouchers cost nothing and put people in seats that would otherwise be empty.
These people will likely also spend money at concessions and on souvenirs, and if they enjoy the game, some might even buy tickets and attend games in the future.
Nothing but a cash grab, and it is becoming obvious they will charge whatever they think they can get away with.
Just like the 25% increase in season ticket price for endzone seats for next year.
wrong answer: if thats the case free admission to everyone will see how long the team will last in the city. 25 precent in cost in running the team is realistic, thank your Federal government for that. you obviously don't own a business. Season Ticket cost are in line or lower than most OHL teams.

I understand that costs have gone up everywhere, but if a 25% increase is warranted, why is it not 25% across the board?
Preferred seats only went up 10% for next year.

I looked at quickly I think you are reading it wrong, there is an early incentive to buy your season tickets, not much an increase if you do:

Club seats: 2022/23-$649, early book- 23/24 $679. (5 per cent). it only goes up if you dont book early $725.00
Preferred seats: 22/23-$599, early book-23/24 $639 (7 percent), it goes up to $669.00 if you dont book early.

End Zone: 22/23 $499, early book-23/24 $639. (13 percent)

it appears they want to have Endzone and Preferred in line pricing. Not a bad seat in the arena, which make sense. I rather sit in Endzone when I go, and when I was season ticket holder.

not sure on 25 percent you are getting.

however they are giving an early incentive to book which is smart, and tickets not much difference as last year if you book early.

I dont find it expensive no matter where you sit. We sit in the club seats and it costs 45.13 for our two seats. (679x2x 13% divided by 34 games) Pretty cheap night out as far as im concerned. We also utilize all our buddy vouchers.

Early bird price in senior endzone(or value, whatever the cheapest one was) going from 399 to 499 is the 25% increase being referred to.

so only one segment, $499 divided by 34, $14.68 a game. I think thats pretty fair.

Not overall like a few on here trying to make it appear.

I love fact checking guys on this forum always trying to exaggerate cost.

1.25 X 2023-24 price X 1.13 HST = a big increase.

This is the right answer. You aren’t going to ohl games for under $12 a game anymore. Everything costs more.
thanks most people with common sense know this is the right answer but they want to play the smear game.

First season ticket price I looked up with North Bay, they're relatively similar but their playoff ticket price locks in round one for season ticket holders. I guess for us that's not a big benefit to lose out on considering how rare a season like this one is, where they win a round.

$14.68 a ticket is fair, prior price way too low.
My question has nothing to do with price, or price increase, or value for money, or comparisons to other teams in other cities.
It centers around why one segment of the fanbase has a disproportionately higher increase than others.
Early senior endzone - $399 - $499 +25%
Early senior preferred - $489 - $539 +10%

And that is my last word on the topic.
Apologies for opening that can of worms.....

We should be discussing our Wolves going to Round Two.
Go Wolves Go!!!

I get that section 19 in Sudbury is one of the most desired (sec 9 not so much) and at a comparatively low cost. Still, a year over year cost increase of 1.25 is a lot. The fact that it is targeted at long time season ticket holders is a bit bold imo.

While in Kingston for their all-season with Villardi, Day, Pu, Jones …season tickets in the same area were ~$100 less than the wolves. Single game tickets were $1 more. They apparently know the value of getting you in more often to spend on concessions.

my argument to that, for years have kept the prices for this segment for Seniors, kudos to the Wolves organization for holding that price for years, but now it is time to align a realistic fair price. $14.68 a ticket again is very fair.

I agree move on and cheer for the team.

again 1.25 percent increase, it is just for one segment Seniors not overall, where they have been holding very low prices for Seniors for years kudos to the organization, $14.68 ticket fair.

you know it but keep playing semantics.

It was Blaine that kept prices in check and had great Sunday family packages. New management have dug into STH pockets to varying degrees each year since taking over.

Dude, that segment is among the most loyal of the STH base for 15-25 years. It is a bold move imo.
