Just seeing what fans think a once promising/high picked prospects that has cooled might be in a trade for another one for a change of scenery ?

For the Habs they have Mesar who would be in that category.

I was updating some charts and thought the NHL should have a portal just prior to Free Agency where prospects on ELCs that teams have soured on could be placed on a sort-of waivers (Once claimed, maybe the team can either try to work out a deal with the team, recall them from waivers, or let them go).

Some candidates:
ANA: Rodwin Dionicio (I never quite figured out what it was he did, but people who covered the AHL seemed to be really irritated and questioned whether the Ducks would bring him back from Switzeralnd again)
BUF: Olivier Nadeau (Spent most of his first two seasons in the ECHL)
COL: Oskar Olausson (Hasn't really progressed)
CBJ: Corson Ceulemans (Bypassed on the depth chart by other prospects)
DAL: Christian Krygier (Seemd to fall out of favour and not play much down the stretch)
DET: Carter Gylander (4th or 5th on the Red Wings goalie depth chart)
EDM: James Stefan (100+ points in the WHL last year, 3 goals in 45 games in the AHL this year)
FLA: Evan Nause (played mostlly in ECHL)
NYR: Hugo Ollas (Rangers have 4 goalies under contract, Garand and Boykos as RFAs, could still add an AHL vet)
PHI: Alexei Kolosov ('nuff said)
PIT: Joel Blomqvist (Sergei Murashov is pushing his way up depth charter and Pens have 5 goalies in system)
SJS: Mitchell Rusell and Ganon Laroque (Both spent most of season in ECHL)
STL: Simon Robertsson (Guy was injured a LOT last year)
TBL: Max Groshev (Ended the season playing defence for Syracuse after being suspended for...racist (?!) language)
TOR: Vyavheslav Peksa (Likely #5th on goalie depth chart, 6th if Murray comes back)
UTA: Sam Lipkin (Seemed to spend most of the season on the 4th line)
VAN: Josh Bloom (Mostly an AHL-ECHL tweener)
WAS: Zac Funk (Junior scorer was mostly injured, mostly in ECHL)

MTL - RW Filip Mesar
Round1
Pick26
Year2022

Was brought to the OHL Kitchener Rangers and didn't improve. Moved on to Laval and continues to lose ice time, enough to be scratched in the playoffs.

Id say Carson Lambos but he Minnesota likes him. David Spacek might be one.
Neither of those prospects belong in the struggling category. Spacek had his best pro season, and would be a call up RD if it wasn't for Guerin selling the farm to get Jiricek, who will be the first callup whether he deserves it or not, to justify the price paid for him. Lambos is progressing decently, and would be the first LD callup.

Ryan O'Rourke could be a candidate for a change of scenery. Too soon to give up on Bankier, or Milne, but the clock is ticking for those two.

Minnesota LOVES Spacek. They were going to make him one of their black aces for the playoffs, but thought he'd get more out of playing in the World Championships.
Tyler Boucher, Mads Sogaard in Ottawa

I think Boucher gets one more year and Sogaard is dealt
I think they both get one more year. I think Ottawa would like to bring in a vet backup for Ullmark to battle Merilainen for the #2 slot, Sogaard splits AHL duties with whomever that is.
