I’ve been streaming the past two games from CBC on the browser on my TV. I’m unhappy with the quality, but I don’t have a 4K Apple TV or firestick.

my question is, will getting an Apple TV 4K or 4K firestick and streaming from the CBC gem app improve the quality drastically?

I have an LG CX and it does not have CBC, sportsnet or TSN apps natively

Streaming quality will have a lot to do what your hardware is capable of, IE. bandwidth and processing etc. I have only 25mb connection and cannot stream 4k 60fps and 30fps barely with stalls but I have the hardware (PC) to play the content. Also check settings in browser or app sometimes it defaults to lower quality and doesn't change on the fly unless user changes it.

What's your internet plan (as in download speed). CBC's streams tend to be the same quality for me as gamecenter is.

I get 120mb/s down, so should be fine. The browser only offers 720p though. I’m hoping the app is better?

Yeah worth a shot. Idk if it's true for CBC, but I know with Netflix I get up to 4K when I use the app, or Microsoft Edge browser. Chrome was limited to 720p like you said.
