I'll kick this off with Ängelholm Rogle BK of the Swedish League :shakehead

A quick wiki says Rögle BK was founded in 1932 albeit no idea when the logo was introduced. Started as a Bandy club. Expanded into Hockey. I think they were around before the Oilers.

What's so Petroleum about it? That's a griffin not an oil drop.

From what I understand you are correct though. The logo, which was developed for the 81/82 season, was inspired by the Oilers logo. Before that they used a rose.

The rose logo was also used in a retro uniform during a few games of the 09/10 season but after four straight losses they decided to stop using it

Nice find. The Oilers logo is pretty distinctive, so I'd say it's pretty certain it was the inspiration for the current logo. It's just strange to me seeing it in green having known the Edmonton crest all my life.

Was originally looking at a different team in this league, but stumbled on these ones.

Yes it was inspired by that one.

Another source (from the start of the 09/10 season): http://www.hd.se/2009-08-28/roglerosen-gor-comeback

Between 1963 and 1981 Rögle's logo looked like the one on the attached picture. The rose disappeared when Gösta 'The Pollen King' Carlsson's commitment to the club decreased and the last 24 years Rögle has been associated with the Edmonton Oilers copy logo.

Olof Erikzon, Information Manager said:

Our Oilers logo is really incorporated. This is more about having both sides of history.

This one always stood out to me. Shameless rip-off of the Leafs logo.

I know you're joking, but the Maple Leafs actually ripped off the Canadian flag! They were rocking these until 1967:

And then they switched to these after the Canadian flag was adopted in an attempt to match the flag more closely:

Not so much of a rip-off as it is a tribute cause, you know, EVERYONE wants to play for the Leafs.

On a serious note, how is it that these small leagues/teams can get away with this? I mean it's obvious if the NHL or the organization wanted to go after them, they wouldn't get much, but you would think they would want to protect their brand somehow. Or is it because these guys are so small time that the league doesn't bother even if for no reason other than to send a message?

Seems to be that the copy logos are from really minor teams (not worth it financially, you get a bad rep for going after those teams, NHL teams might see them as a tribute and maybe the teams actually have some kind of agreement) or from non-NA teams (some regional IPR stuff involved), or you just cant protect color scheme (that Tuto jersey with Rangers colours I posted). No idea, just guessing
