Meh he's just a guy. Not an anchor by any means but he also doesn't really do anything particularly well. He has no future with the team and it makes sense to give more opportunities to the kids. Not sure why he was even brought back in the first place to be honest.

Well, one of the two at least.
Sad to see Kapanen fall this much but also not surprised. Feet always moved faster than his brain, and there seemed to also be off-ice distractions / issues. He had some messy relationships in his time in TO and apparently partied a lot.

It’s a reference to him being arrested for ‘extreme dui’ in his home country, means he was ‘really’ drunk according to their laws.
.12 I think, wouldn’t have met the standard in the US for extreme dui…
But I guess a minor mistake where no one got hurt will be held against him by some people…

Absolutely. 2 sons that are elite level. Foligno is another one I forgot to mention but senior Foligno was like Parise also played in the 70s before our time.
If you're drunk driving then you should go to jail. It doesn't matter if no one got hurt. It's not a minor mistake. Recent "minor" mistake cost Gaudreau brothers their lives.
