Parayko for Larkin anyone?

I can't speak much from the Blues point of view but from what I understand, they're looking for a top notch center and Larkin seems to be on his way there.

From Detroit's point of view, it would seem to me that Nielsen for now can hold the line. We might get lucky with Svechnikov and we have, I think, enough depth at forward to somewhat offset the missing piece for quite a few years as well...

Anyway, thoughts? Proposals?

Fairish value but I'd rather keep Parayko unless an absolute slam dunk comes along

I actually thought Blues fans would be more willing to do this trade as Defence is more or less a position of strength for the team.

The value is there and this assumption is correct, but we're unlikely to part with Parayko.

What about Pietrangelo? Shattenkirk definitely isn't someone I'd give up Larkin for and I figured Pietrangelo is way too proven to be in the conversation. Whereas Parayko, as Larkin, are both coming off spectacular rookie campaigns and both look to be really good impact players.

Definitely a fair offer and I see why the Blues would be hesitant to part with him since Shattenkirk is most likely to be shopped this year.

It's similar to Parayko for Draisaitl.

Personally I'd rather have Larkin over Draisaitl. If Shattenkirk was resigned long term it's the type of trade that I wouldn't be disappointed with.

Value is there and I love Larkin, but I prefer a future of Pietrangelo and Parayko, regardless of how the Shattenkirk situation plays out.

Blues would need to see how the team looks this year before committing to a change that big from their current direction. They don't have a superb top 9 but it's filling up with guys who need to show what they're capable of before they start trying to improve it.

I think its a great value for value trade. I also think Parayko (and Larkin) are at points in their development where you just don't trade those guys.

The Blues would need to get Shattenkirk re-signed (which is doable). I'd rather hold Parayko and figure out other options with Shattenkirk on the way out.

Pietrangelo is even less likely to move than Parayko, let's just keep it at that.

Great value coming to StL, but figuring out what would happen with Shattenkirk would be necessary. If he truly does bounce and head to Detroit, we're left with petro bortuzzo and schmaltz.

Id keep Parayko. Value is there but the thought of Pietrangelo and Parayko being on the ice for what will seem like the whole game is just good to let go.

Fair deal but the Blues really don't want to part with Parayko and I bet Detroit feels the same about Larkin.

Pretty spot on assessment, Would love to have Parayko but really don't want to lose Larkin. Detroit really isn't all that sound with their C Zetterberg is going downhill plus losing Datsyuk. Detroit really isn't in position to lose one of their young talented Centers and i'm pretty sure St Louis feels the same way with Parayko.
