I have to admit, my respect for Marchand went up immensely after this interaction. Love to have a guy like that on the Leafs.

Anyways, I felt like this little situation really exposed the general disdain that people have for our so called media 'figures' around this team. This year I have found myself shifting attention away from scheduled games because I don't want to be bombarded by rumor mongers like Eliot Friedman and by the impotent rage induced rantings of Caroline Cameron, Justin Bourne, Nick Kypreos, and Anthony Stewart. Thank God Sid Siexiero's musings have been kept contained by his presence on Breakfast Television (should be radio).

And people wonder why the NHL ratings are declining? But yeah, I hope the NHL continues on this path of constant gambling adverts, horrific officiating, and alienating their die hard fans by being condescending towards them.

I really like this team, but I detest everything around it. These players deserve better.
