So, it's a 1 year deal with NE holding options for years 2 and 3 basically. AAV would be $23 mill, but NE paying the extra $3 mill to give them the option years.
Not my first choice but the team desperately needs playmakers.

31 year old coming off an ACL at like the 3rd quarter part of the NFL season. Probably should be ready to go in week 1, but coin flip on whether he's going to be as productive as they hope he can be at his age coming off an ACL.

He's coming off an ACL tear at age 31. Nelson, OBJ, those older WR coming off a serious injury like that, just never know. Probably a big reason why Edelman got busted for PED's in the next off-season following his ACL tear in pre-season.
It's a risk, but one that isn't going to be too costly for NE. It's really a 1 year contract with some extra penalty if the decide to move on from him after 1 season.
