A core of young players winning the Cup in their very first playoff appearance doesn’t sound realistic to me, but it would be very encouraging. I’ll need a bigger sample suze from Schmid though.
Maybe not this year but Nemec and Luke Hughes to that blueline plus whatever assets they get from moving players to make room and that Devils team looks to be very good for a long time.

Glad to see the Rags bounced, that team is like Leafs South to me. Unlimited resources to just slap together whatever good players are around. For an original six team I just feel like they have no personality, it's always just some weird random all star team.

Plus I don't have to hear about Zibanejad anymore (ftr i loved him with us but i let it go long ago and you should too lol)

I don’t understand how that Trouba hit is legal, but the Gryba-Eller hit from way back when the dirty hits were starting to be transitioned out isn’t.

Sounds painful or at least uncomfortable ... playing with a rib cage cartilage fracture sounds really painful

I'm gonna need to see blood tonight (no major injuries though). I hate MTkachuk, but this is your time buddy.

What an amazing first round, with mental midgets galore. Panicky Bruins and Avs crumble under the pressure. Makes you respect more what the dynasties could accomplish and dealing with the pressure of expectations. Now what? Are the Leafs unshackled from the pressure of advancing, or was that their Stanley Cup? Are the Devils ready to go from just happy to be in the playoffs to trying to win a second round? Can the Oil play with being a favourite? So many questions and can't wait to watch this upcoming round.

Love the Panthers and would like to see them win. Either way, the Cup will be hoisted by a team that hasn't won for at least 17 years so that will be nice

Go Oilers! Go Leafs!

Oh look. You don’t need 6 elite defenders and a bonafide crazy elite goalie to A) get into the playoffs. And B) win a round.

Need a bunch of guys that play strong structure. And then guess what.. you don’t always have to look into trading for elite players constantly in a never ending cycle.

Change the coaches.

The Devils are going to win the cup. That team is fast as hell and they're quickly realizing that with their speed, the playoffs aren't all that different from the regular season.
They don't want it enough yet, they are too young. This is why I think Toronto will do it. They are eager and angry + have the skill. Sadly.
Jersey will be the team to watch in 2-3 years, though.
