There's no way we hear there was no push back from the Lightning.
They've had a great run and have been a fun team to watch.
No way they are not a playoff team next year again, imo. Core is still good and signed.

Lightning went to the finals 3 years in a row. They're probably just exhausted from too much hockey. Hard to blame them

Ya good call, I do remember a fair amount of Habs cheerleading here and they should be just as high, if not higher from more recent history, on the hated rival list if we're letting that dictate our choices of who to root for.

I just couldn't sustain it I guess. The Leafs failed so long it feels like I got my kicks out of it and it got to the point I actually felt bad for them and thought, lets just get this over with.

I don't live in Toronto/Ontario so I have no hate for the Leafs even though some of their fans are something else in the polls section but isn't it the case for every fanbase?

As Sens fans I don't understand actively cheering for direct rivals but being "neutral/fine" with their success shouldn't be a problem.

This is interesting to me. Fans of opposing teams always annoy me, they're cheering against my team, so they're all the same.

It was always the players that were the evil figure to me. Guys like Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker were enough to make my blood boil and wish serious ill upon them during the high emotion times.

The worst part of this Leafs victory is all the reminders I'm seeing of that last crushing loss against them. God damn Lalime.
Guys like Darcy Tucker actually did things to make my blood boil - and did so in the playoffs too.

When's the last time a Leafs player actually did something with a measurable, infuriable impact to our team? Regular season wins and losses just kind of roll off the back.

Something tells me Swayman and Ullmark won’t be doing their cutesy little bowing to each other after a game routine tonight. Boston Bruins more like Boston Paper Tigers.

The goalie situation was a no-win one for Boston.

Ullmark has played poorly sure, but Swayman is coming in rusty AND with all the game 7 pressure on him.

I’m ok with passing up that storyline if it means Toronto doesn’t have a free path to the finals.
I'm sure that's the first thing we all think of. Carolina will give the leafs fits, but the panthers?....i don't feel it personally

Ngl if we made the playoffs, we absolutely would have given the Bruins trouble, seeing the way they've played this playoffs, AND this is without Chabot, Chychrun, and Norris.
Agreed. Next year we MUST make it
