One hit and he is done.

Kase is playing Russian roulette with his health and I don't think it will do the team much good to see him being carted off on a stretcher.

You would think that he would start on the fourth line.
He is a warrior .. warriors die hard and fast .. some people play hockey as a game others play to win at all costs .. I hope he thrives and succeeds but will respect da h*ll out of him if he dies trying figuratively .. it is da life of a warrior my friend

This here gon be FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT at its fullest! :leafs:

OUR TEAM GREASE AND GANGSTA! WE LUBED UP NOW! ready and HARD!

Cigar will be smoked on this game 1.

I actually like the look of the 2nd line with Mikheyev and Kase with JT. I think that's a good mix to get JT going.

With Bunting out on line #1, I like seeing them go to the grind line on line #4. That will help to match the physicality of Tampa Bay.

How about a quote from Keefe for this series with Tampa "borderline violent"?

Whipped up this one quickly -- feel free to use if u like

Replace the name Kase with Crosby and I am pretty sure this would have made sense many years ago too.

I’m up at 5 as well but my biggest issue with the later start is the Leafs and Jays will both finish at the same time which will add considerable time to the drive home.
Maybe extra innings or double overtime ?

Lubed. Hard. Montecristo 4. Gangsta.
MOS DEF sire! 🔥

Here not montecristo tonight though, but a real dark juicy one. Benchmade importado. A real goofy one at the same time sire.

BORDERLINE VIOLENT 🔥

Just watched Jack Hans 13 minute video breakdown on how Tampa will try to beat the Leafs and it made me so fckn nervous. Felt some PTSD as well because it's way too similar to how Boston, Columbus and Montreal beat us.

They will forecheck the shit out uf our D and will give no space whatsoever in the offensive zone.

That is a really simple game plan when put like that.

Can they execute? We will see.

If the game plan was that simple and teams could shut down the Leafs by playing that system we would have been 0-82 this year.

Simmonds & Clifford are in to send a message tonight. Spezza will get his games don't you worry.

I'm more worried about Spezza getting games than not getting games.

Hopefully, Bunting is back soon and it pushes out Simmonds or Clifford and we only have one "bad" player on the team at a time.

After going through everything over and over and over again I come up with each teams having two clear advantages on paper:

TOR: Top line, Dcorps depth
TBL: Goalie, Top pair D

For me i think the dcorps differences are safe bets but also probably balance out.

So really this comes down to the 1st lines and the goalies. If the Leafs 1st line performs like they should and Campbell holds his own, the leafs win. If Vasi dominates and the Bolts top line holds their own, then the bolts win.

If the bolts top line steps up again while the leafs top line chokes again like happened the last 2 playoffs, then this series is over quick in favor of the bolts.

There's always the chance that the Bolts top line and Vasi both fizzle, but that hasn't happened since 3 years ago vs the blue jackets, so I wouldn't count on it.

Anyways, Leafs in 4.

Tampa has been here before so we need to take these home games to give them a sense of doubt.

Tampa is deadly when they score first. So we need to score first. Lay the body and create some havoc and speed with the space it opens up.

Keefe needs to make adjustments in-game when things aren't working. Like if Kerfoot isn't getting it done on line one, get Nylander or Mikheyev up there. No more waiting until the next game or after a loss.

Excited but wary. Losing this series or blowing a 3-1 series lead is not acceptable regardless of the fact it's the Cup champs. We are supposed to be good enough now to beat anyone. I will be severely disappointed if we don't win with our core at it's apex and support/depth the best it's ever been. "Out-goalied" is no longer an excuse, this talent needs to break through no matter how the goalies are playing.

Now Go Leafs Go.

Every team is going to try to forecheck our D and give us no space in the offensive zone. That’s also how they’d play every other team.

Also fwiw, the reasons we lost to each of Boston, Montreal and Columbus were not the same each time.

Reactions: JT AM da real deal
Absolutely... plus, it's our star players who win, or lose series, not the guys getting the least amount of ice time.
As long as the 4th line doesn't get hemmed, like I've seen before...crash bodies, open the ice up and settle down the stars.
Less impact the better...their 4th line has similar makeup, so I hope Keefe has them on direct assignments
