Hello! Stranger coming in peace with a question.

I just watched that Kyper podcast and they said Jason Spezza would be a healthy scratch tonight in favor of "tougher" guys. Granted, I don't watch many Leafs games, but from what I've seen, isn't Spezza one of the leader on the ice when it matters the most? I remember how he had to fought not so long ago, how well he played in last year playoffs despite not a great performance from his team, etc.

I don't understand. To my limited knowledge, Spezza played way above expectations for a guy of his age when the team played for a reason.

Can someone please enlighten me? Am I wrong in saying he's one of the Leafs best playoffs performer?

Hello stranger. He was the second best team player last season'
s plezayoffs sire. Or ma'am. Only Nylander, William was better. Jack Campbell was our dirty third best player, last season. This season, we are expecting matthews, marner and tavares, johnny to be better than all of them above. We that hard. And heavy. Also our other fools like bunting finna totally kill, when he comes back in game 3. Sire.

There is a fair gap between Spezza and Blackwell right now who has been used in the 4c spot a couple times. It does seem like an offensive trade off for some toughness so Clifford is in for sure and a fair chance Simmonds is to.

Im sure he will play as we go along.

if I were Tampa, i'd be doubling down on winning this game.

Win this and the Leafs could buckle under the pressure. I'd triple make sure Matthews and Marner don't score.

Leafs should win this series.

As long as we don't get goalied.

We did chase Vasi 2 games ago.

Man I’m not even sure how I really feel right now. On the one hand I’m excited as hell for playoff hockey at the same time I’m ready to overreact to if we lose bad. I’m scared and stressed lol.

I thought I was ready for heartbreak again but the closer we get to 7:30, the more I realize I’m not 😅.

Ho-Sang is so going to Europe next season.
Won't miss him. Ain't making our top 6, and nowhere near enough jam or intangibles for our bottom 6. Robertson, Anderson, Knies, Abruzzese all ahead of him. And possibly Douglas depending on what you're looking for

Kyle Clifford is going to be a beast tonight.

He's got the biggest assist in Kings history with that double OT Martinez goal.

Have some faith.
I think him and Simmonds will be huge for the team tonight. Perry and Maroon are going to be barking. Makes the boys feel better having some guys that have their backs and will bite back. When Marner was asked about expecting "borderline violence", he said "we got some big guys of our own". Cliffy and Simmer will add a swagger to this team. Playoffs are a different animal, as most of us recognize.

Well, I've had a crazy day and was able to not think about this game.

Now I'm kinda pooping my pants a little aka getting the butterflies a bit (here we go)

And I just thought, what happened 20 years ago when this team was kinda pretty good, but still not good enough.

I literally just finished moving from Virginia to everyone’s favorite city on here today, Boston.

8 hour drive, ton of packing, hauling crap into my new spot/storage. I’m beat but I got up and started at 6:45 just to be able to watch in time tonight.

I hope this is going to worth it haha

Yup, exactly. It's better to have these guys in the line-up than not and just get bent over and ran at all night.

Clifford and Simmonds were our best players in the 2010-11 Playoffs against San Jose. Cliffy leading the team in points and goals and Simmonds with 20PIM's.
