Don't shoot the messenger.

All I did was post an article from the Toronto papers that included TB coach direct quotes on what he said about his own team, and the Leafs.

If you agree with the premise of that last game and Coach Cooper's own comments yourself, then where is the problem?
You have a pattern of behaviour, it's easy to say don't shoot the messenger but you seem intent on pushing the same message. If you don't like people commenting on it, change your patterns.

Just realized something

The bolts played back to back last weekend and and had only 1 day off before game 1... They still have only 1 day off before game 2... And I believe still played 2 teams before that back to back with only 1 day off in between. They should of rested their team like everyone else did and instead chose to play.

Go Leafs Go baby, but I need everyone to pray for me tonight, i was just watching the office and noticed a black blur in the back of my room and im all like "well, wtf is that?" Sooo it turns outttt

Soooo, he's dead now, but so is any idea of me getting a decent sleep.

My dog is laying in bed with me ready to go to war, but i fear if he laid eggs the numbers will be too great, don't waste any prayers on Ukraine, i need your help the most tonight, goodnight and godspeed my fellow leaf friends, i hope i get to witness the glory of our leafs together tomorrow.

And if not, GIVE EM HELL FOR ME BOYS.
Do you live in the Amazon rainforest? Hooooooly smokes.

The Leafs played their best game of the season on Monday. Tampa didn’t play very well.
Both things can be true.
I just hate the narrative, that we thrived because Tampa was flat. Not that Tampa was flat, because thrived. We should use that as motivation and prove the latter with excellent play trough the series.

They're paying for it now. That's also reason why Cooper gave them optional skate this morning since rest apparently is the priority.

Tampa could try not to make the same mistakes *but* if the Leafs continue to play their best, Tampa won't be in a good position espcially if they lose tonight.

I didn't think Tampa played poorly. Not at all.

They were firing on all cylinders in the first and still strong in part of the second period.

The Leafs just shut them down. Hard.

It affected the second half of the game and then Tampa dropped off. But by then the game was already out of reach.

This narrative that Tampa somehow played poorly is just nonsense. Any Leaf fan watching the first half of the game was probably alot like I was. Surprised at how well the buds were playing and terrified at the same time because Tampa was giving as good as they got.

Gtf out of here with Tampa gifted the Leafs this game. Leafs earned it by shutting down the 2 time reigning cup champs .
I agree. Tampa had something like 7 mins of PP in the first 13 mins of the game including a 5 min major and came out flat because of the Leafs Power Kill. They then went on to dominate every aspect of that game. If Tampa had played better they would have lost 5-2 instead of 5-0

Expect Tampa to test Campbell a lot more this game. Gunna need some big saves from him.

Living in Vancouver, north americas sushi capital I’m flabbergasted how many people enjoy that shit

Bunts is back baby! LFG!!!! What am I going to do for eight hours until pick drop
I'm with you, it's disgusting. Everytime I say I don't like sushi there's always someone saying "thats because you haven't eaten good sushi before" and I say "No, I've tried all different kinds at all kinds of different restaurants and it's just gross".

I'll take the chicken stir fry please

Sorry I don't mean to be a buzz kill, I'm just looking at it logically and chiming in. That doesn't mean Tampa will win the series, I just think in game 2 they will be the team we all thought they were and will probably win game 2. If I can add something positive it's that this Leafs team is the best Leafs team I've seen in forever and I think they have a very good shot at winning the series against Tampa which I couldn't realistically say about past Leaf teams.
I was partly just breaking some balls ;), but to be clear, I too am looking at logically and I disagree with you that Tampa will dominate. You could be right, but we shall see.

I figure we learned that cooking meat was a good idea a really long time ago. no reason to go back.

So Mess. and ?? I haven't seen what you are talking about. Certainly not "lots", or "many" people.

Sure, we should expect a better game out of Tampa, and they are going to come hard, but I haven't seen (may or lot's of) people talk that it wasn't our excellent play, that was the reason for our win.
I posted after the game .. " The Leafs dominated and played a near perfect game" and Leafs played their best game of the year"..

Apparently I'm among the "many" that are underselling the victory. :)

Tampa has some monstrously big defensemen, but they didn't appear the most mobile. I think that's where we exploited them most in game one and why they were caught on so many odd man rushes.
They did a little rearranging on their defense for this reason exactly.

Cernak is now with Hedman and that's going to be their new matchup pairing. Cernak-McDonagh looked too slow to deal with our speed.

they couldn't rest anyone because they were up to the cap. To rest guys they have to call up people and they simply could not. At least that is what their fans tell me.

Sure the Leafs outplaying them would have had an impact but the bad passes and lazy plays had nothing to do with the Leafs.
A team can be flat on it's own without it being caused by the opponent. It's happened to the Leafs this year a few times.

Tampa will be better. We will be better. Lets get it on. Borderline violent works well for us. Common refs keep calling loads of penalties. It actually works for us. Now that refs know this watch for a NO PENALTY game tonight.
