Lots of people acting like the Leafs didnt play extremely well on Monday and that was one of the reason the TB seemed like they had an off game. We get Bunting back tonight and Willy no longer has food poisonings. That should make us an even more dangerous team and TB should worry about that!

Can you be more specific? Who are these lots of people?
I don't read every post but I haven't seen even one post acting this way.

forgot who said it, but the Leafs played like they were sick of losing. they could have just crumpled and died when they got the 5 minute major penalty against a team that was 50% on the pp recently, but they didn't fold and even took charge (the crowed helped, too). some say games don't carry over, but confidence (or lack of it) does. we can't let up and scoring the first goal again will be huge.

They know how much they'll be clowned yet again if they lose this series, they were humiliated last playoffs. So that's good motivation you'd think.

I feel like game 2 is going to be the opposite result of game 1. Not 5-0 but I think Tampa will win game 2 decisively.

They looked bad in game 1, and it wasn't because the Leafs made them look bad, they just looked uncoordinated and unmotivated. I think after that embarrassment it's going to light a fire.

I remember when Montreal took game 4 of the SCF last year, and the Habs felt like they had life. Only to be utterly shut down by Vasy in game 5. Number 1 bullshit....

This TB team have balls like church bells, they are not going to be phased by game 1 at all. We will need to show up early and often in this game 2. Step on the gas right from the opening puck drop and don't let off. I expect TB will be at their best tonight. If we can beat them when they have given it their all, we have won a major mental battle in this series.

hopefully mikheyev read this. The playoff energy is nice for a change compared to the usual disappearing act but now he's being too reckless. Find middle ground

What I found most impressive was that even when they were up big going into the third period and had dominated the game completely to that point, they maintained pressure in the third and didn't take their foot off the gas. Was about as complete of a game from this team as I've ever seen.

Many people have agreed with Coopers statements that the outcome of the game was more to do with his teams performance and less about what the Leafs did. I get that its Mess and he often downplays the positives of our team but he would be one. I'm not going back over every just because you want to be argumentative about something that many posters have stated over three different threads
