As someone who has loved the position of goaltender since I was little but never really had a spectacular goalie to root for, the season Quick had last year will always be unforgettable for me.

When the Kings were close to missing the playoffs all I could think about was don't waste Quick's Vezina caliber season. I never thought they would do what they did in the playoffs but I knew that Quick would lead them to the big prize if the team just gave him a chance. There's just nothing like knowing that even though the whole team could collapse around him, Quick would somehow manage to be there to hold them all up.

If I had to pick a defining moment from this run it would be the save he made on Sedin in the first round. It defined his whole season. The team was having trouble, the Canucks were threatening to make a comeback in the series. The next goal could be the one to crush the Kings hopes and Quick stands up and says 'I got this, guys.' Just an amazing athlete. Love you Quick :)

Many many years from now, regardless of whether the Kings win another Cup, or how Quickie's career go from here, there will always be this season that will never be forgotten and remain the stuff of legends.

Forget the Vezina talk...HART TROPHY OR GTFO!

On another note, I know why Quick is so good. He has such strong legs. It comes from chasing his daughter all around the house. :)

Hey, come to think of it, maybe Madison Quick = next Manon Rheume?
