I know unrelated to the forums but the betting odds the last 10 years only the 2022 Colorado Avalanche had the top odds to win the cup entering the playoffs and won it.

Team with the lowest odds in that time frame and ended up winning was the Capitals 7th best odds in 2018(+1225)

Hard to argue with anything there. Could see Ottawa going on a run but their body of work doesn’t really support them being ahead of any of the above teams. Minnesota another team that could do some damage if they get healthy.

Also doubt anyone is excited to play Montreal round 1, if they indeed make it.

The fact that people are continuing to sleep on the Capitals as we approach the end of March is insane lol

It made sense to have doubt and questions back in December, but cmon now

In general, the list is pretty good! I'd say that's an accurate representation of Cup chances at the moment.

Toronto and Washington are too low, in my opinion. Chalk that up to general Leafs hate, and the average fan following Ovie's goal chance more than the actual Caps. Toronto is loaded this season, with the best D group and goaltending that they've had in decades. And WSH is pretty much a roster playing at it's best, like a well oiled machine.

Oilers and Canes are too high, in my opinion. McDrai isn't enough, and the GM should be vilified for not fixing the goaltending position. And Carolina got worse at the TDL. I don't trust that Hall will be able to contribute into the post season.
