i haven't posted a trade proposal thread here before, but this struck me as a potential fit
Pitt has been inconsistent, but still has their Cup winning core
and they have been hit by some D injuries within last few days
Staal has no-move, but has deep history with Sullivan as his coach,
and 3 playoff runs on Crosby/Malkin/Letang teams under Sully may be tempting to him at this later stage of his career
Marc Staal, 30-40% retained, to Pens
Bjorkqvist plus lesser prospect(s) - Reilly, Angello, i dunno, i dont really know anything about Pitt's guys
probably won't happen, but seems a more realistic potential way out of Staal's contract than some other ideas ...
