Voting for Alexandrov again. Toropchenko goes after him, then Kostin.

Personally would add Landon Sim; he showed a lot at the prospect camp, from what the people on here who went there said.

Big season for Alexandrov to prove he belongs in the NHL. I’ve got him next.

I will add Sim next. There are at least 6 more guys I could add.

Anymore suggestions?

Alexandrov by a smidge over Toropchenko. I think Alexandrov has the upside to be a 3C, and as much as I like what Toro brings, I don't think he's got the offensive upside to be more than a 4th liner.

Toro. He’s already proven he is NHLer, which nobody else left can say. FWIW, really not getting Alexandrev love. I have multiple guys ahead of him at this point.

There’s 3 guys I’ll consider here - Toropchenko, Kessel and Kostin.

Toropchenko likely won’t ever be more than a 4th liner but I think he’ll be a useful one. An energy guy that his teammates love. That has value.

Kessel is quiet and doesn’t really stick out but he’s quite solid defensively. I think he’s going to sneak up on people. I think he’ll have an Ian Cole sort of career.

Kostin…I’ve dogged on him since he was drafted as I’ve never liked the pick. But we know he at least has some minimal NHL ability whereas a lot of guys in this range won’t ever make it at all. I know we’re all down on him but don’t think we should lose sight of the fact that he’ll still likely end up with a better career than most on this list. Very disappointing for a 1st round pick as his hockey sense is just super bad but I could still see him carve out a career as a 4th liner. Similarly though, I could see him floundering this (likely) last chance and heading back to Russia next season…or just deciding it’s not worth being a fringe NHLer and bouncing around making league minimum where he could make good money and live much closer to home.

I could be wrong about Alexandrov. I see him as a sort of sleeper who will surprise, a lot like I thought of Toro.

Going for certainty with Toropchenko.

We know Toropchenko is an NHL-player already, guys like Dickinson, Buchinger, Kaskimaki, Robertsson, Alexandrov, Loof, etc 'could' one day be decent to maybe even good NHL players but could also very well not make it past the AHL.

Add Brady Lyle. Almost made the Bruins 20/21 opening night roster before he fell off a cliff and picked himself up again in Springfield where he did very well.

Late edit: you could also add McGing, he had a decent season with the Thunderbirds and might very well be a 13th/14th forward/injury fill in guy one day. I think he could have a Mackenzie MacEachern type of career.

I went with Kessell. I think Alexandrov tops at a maybe a 3rd liner, but more than likely a 4th line.

I think Kesseel has a higher upside.

Topo is a 4th line.

Kessel is going to be a solid player. Toropchenko is a solid player.

Went with El Toro for the higher floor and greater certainty vs the higher upside w/ less certainty of Kessel.

You say you went with Kessel, but the chart is still telling me I'm the only one who voted for him.

Kessel has two votes.

If you click on the number of votes it will list who voted. My screen says its CelticNote and Yappi that voted for Kessel. It doesn't list you under any of the voted. Celtic voted after Yappi made his comment. When I checked earlier, Yappi was the only one. I don't care if you voted for Kessel in the poll or in your heart. But its not registering your vote on my end.

Must be something with cookies. It said 1 voted, and when I clicked it only listed me. I'm glad to know I'm not truly alone. But it still doesn't show me a vote from Frenzy31.

I also do not see a vote from Frenzy for Kessel (or anyone for that matter) in this poll.

But Frenzy also hasn’t voted for Kessel in Poll #7 either, where it may actually matter! 😜
