Head says Perunovich, heart says Snuggerud.

Went with Jimmy the Snuggler.

What is the logic behind having Toropchenko there in the poll and not having Kostin? I mean, they are the same age, number of NHL games is similar, both are ineligible for the Calder anymore, what am I missing here?

Games played. Should we include him folks?

Toropchenko has played 40 NHL games total (regular season + playoffs), Kostin has 46, kind of doesn't look like a big difference to me.
Good point. I’ll include him next time.

He wasn’t going to be top 3 anyway.

Any objections by anyone?

Anyone else I need to include?

I don’t really consider Toropchenko, Kostin, or Perunovich to still be prospects. Don’t have a strong opinion on including vs excluding them tho.

I don’t consider Toro and Kostin to be prospects, but I do consider Peru to be a prospect.

Other opinions?

Voted for Perunovich again. He has the ability to be one of the best PP QBs in the game. I think his D will always be suspect (same range as someone like Shattenkirk or Dunn) but he brings valuable characteristics.

After that, I have Snuggerud and then Hofer. After that…not sure. I see a pretty clear separation between the top-5 and the next group.

I would be fine including all of Perunovich, Kostin and Torpo on the list. The one that’s the most iffy for me is Kostin though. On a games played basis, Kostin and Torpo are pretty even but I see Torpo as having being given 1 shot in the NHL and he ran with it. Kostin has been given multiple chances and he’s squandered it each time. That to me, makes me ready to move on from him but not with Torpo.

But the results for these polls have the same importance as that old show, Whose line is it anyway? Everything’s made up and the points don’t matter.

It’s just for fun.

Zackly! Just for fun!!

So far we have 3 votes to keep all three until they’re voted off the list and we have 3 votes to leave/put them in.

I honestly would take all 3 off. They’re relatively the same age 23-24 and have similar pro games played with Peru being 17 AHL and 19 NHL. He has had injury issues which has kept his games played down. Haha we should do a fusion technique and we’d had one hell of a player.

Tough between Snuggerud and Perunovich. I went with Snuggerud because I'm not convinced Perunovich will be anything more than a 0 calorie point scorer/PP specialist. Snuggerud looked very solid in the prospect camp. Stood out even more than Bolduc to my unprofessional eye, but it was also his first camp, so he was probably doing everything he could to impress.

I suggest we keep Perunovich, Toropchenko, and Kostin on the list for consistency. I mean, what is done is done right? We can discuss future criteria for prospect eligibility next year.

Went with Snuggerud. I have never been high on Perunovich.
