He was. Skinner's xGA are inflated thanks to plenty of 5 on 3 time for the Kings. 5 on 5 Skinner's stats are twice as bad.
What's this? PK stats matter, especially for goalies.
It makes sense to back out to 5v5 play when you are evaluating regular players, it's a more natural game state, and some guys only play PK (disadvantage), others only PP (advantage).
It absolutely makes ZERO sense to back out PP and PK when you are trying to assess how well (or in this case not very well) a goalie played. He's trying to stop ALL the shots, regardless of what game state. Shots against on the PP for example, are almost always 2on1 or breakaways... by definition the highest danger of high-danger. Shots against on the PK... goes without saying those are difficult.
Why would you back out the toughest chances against when trying to determine if your goalie helped his team or not?
