Some of you may have heard of and/or remember Corey Hirsch, he was the emergency goalie on the 1994 Stanley Cup winning team. He recently released a book titled The Save of My Life - My Journey Out of the Dark. It was during that playoff run to the Cup that he first experienced the debilitating effects of OCD. In his recently released book he expands on how difficult that was and still is, while also chronclling his life as an NHL goalie. Corey Hirsch's biggest save is saving others
Corey Hirsch played 14 seasons as a professional goalie, including 108 NHL games. He raised the Stanley Cup and came within a postage stamp goal of backstopping Canada to an Olympic Gold medal. But the save of his life never happened on the ice. It happened when he stopped short of driving
