Yeah, Lindgren got some backup there from Kreids and Lemieux, but we will have more of that. This kept going the following games against Washington too.

If Gallant's plan is to have a stacked first line, Brooksie mentioned Panarin Zibanejad Lafreniere, you should sign him now, before he has an absurd season.

I can live with 5 years 10M. If it's like Coutuerier's deal, that'd be better for the team short term. 8 year $65M. NMC only for the first 5-6 years.

Absolutely right. At this stage with the kids maturing, having Fox, panarin in his prime, young stocked D stable, etc Your not going to watch a 1C walk out the door.
There are only 2 options the way I see it. You bite the bullet and resign Zibby or make a run at Eichel.
Both will be making similar cash over the next 5 seasons.
Obviously the plan seems to be go the safer route and just resign Zibby for the cash rather then the assets/injury risks involved with making Eichel a ranger.
At this current time, there is no one better as a 1C that’s even available. These 2 are the cream of the crop for the next 1-2 seasons unless somebody major wants to be dealt.
NYR aren’t going to make a massive hole for themselves with no one to fill it, right when the goal has shifted to be a playoff team and beyond

Hah I’ll take it. At least someone is practicing face offs with them. Glass is no Peca though.
I hope Barron becomes more like our home grown Goodrow type of player. Boyle had some great years here, but I think Barron can provide more offense with his skill set
