There's a thread about the biggest team. I want to know who the smallest one is.

Who is your 23-24 season smallest wildcard team based on height and based on ability to win.

What is your prediction?

FYI

8. Cole Caufield, Montreal Canadiens

Vital statistics: 5-foot-7, 166 pounds

San Jose. They’re going to suck. A good team that people think will be locked into a spot could end up with big injury issues and run into trouble but it’s next to impossible to see this team making noise

Leafs.

It's not about their size or weight, it's ability to win.

The Leafs haven't won anything in 56 years. To put that in perspective...55 years past between the sinking of the Titanic and the last Leaf victory. Leaf success is closer to 1912 than it is to present day.
You're predicting the Leafs will be a small/wildcard team this season?

Jarnkrok is the only full-time player under 6 feet. You're predicting a wholesale change of diminutive players coming in at the deadline?

Agree with San Jose. They're in a tough spot, kind of no light at the end of the tunnel at least for this season.

Vets have to be fed up with losing, they don't have too much high-end young talent to create excitement and they just lost their best player in the off-season.

And just looking at the roster on paper, they have arguably the worst back-end in the league. That's a killer with the increased scoring.

Forward group might be surprisingly decent if the new additions all play well, but it's not going to carry the team to a .500 record. And they have a bunch of guys to sell at the deadline.

This take is so poor, I am going to have my friend Mr. Krabs respond.

I feel like the Atlantic can go any which way with any teams except Montreal. Most teams comfortably have them at the bottom of the division.

That's the Metro too with the Flyers. I can see even CBJ making some noise if their back end adds transition seamlessly + Elvis isn't a sieve. At the worst, CBJ fans have guys like Jiricek and Fantilli to watch over 82 games.

So the average fan should know teams' sizes by memory and no point of reference such as:

To stay on topic and appease the OP I'll go with the smallest and say Wild.

Now going by the same trix, what is the fattest team that will just miss getting into the playoffs?
I'll say the Islanders.

Looks like the Wild are both the shortest, and lightest team. Guys like Spurgeon, Zuccarello, Addison, Dewar, Kaprizov, Shaw, and Rossi, certainly bring the averages down.
