Im getting nervous.

To Slovensko naše Posiaľ tvrdo spalo Ale blesky hromu Vzbudzujú ho k tomu Aby sa prebralo .

I heard Fehevary accepted invite ?
Yes, Fehervary´s arrival is confirmed. Now we´re letting two other spots for Ruzicka (Calgary) and Cernak (Tampa). Both of them would be huge upgrade.

First "game" at this tournament. Where there is clear favourite. Expectations high, this could be a thriller. Yesterday both teams looked fine. This clash is a must game to watch!!!

Where is Marincin?

Good luck to both teams... fan of you both! Game of the day for sure! I always default to Slovakia though so go Slovakia go! Watch out for Seider and Stutzl. No chance Drai is coming if Oil lose so I think this is it for Germany. Slovakia still have the potential of Cernak which would be HUGE!

Stützle + Seider are destructive weapons in power play. I favor Germany, their group of players from DEL is better than the Slovak one. And they have Grubauer in goal, which is the necessary basis for them to win this type of match. Tight score, Germany will win 4-3.

Would Peterka and Reichel accept the invitation if they drop out of the AHL? Can Söderholm rely on them if they are healthy?

Yup, I'm picking Germany to win this one also.

are you saying DEL is stronger league than Slovakian League?
Yes, they definitely have more stronger teams, more finances and better imports. However, given the size of both countries, this is logical, DEL also has relatively decent results in CL. However, this comparison is not fair to Slovakia. Teams from there boycotted CL for a long time. I see DEL as a better league.

I agree. DEL is stronger. But I think the top Slovaks in Slovak league are very close to the top Germans in the DEL. What separates the league is imports which of course comes along with the resources. Lots of Slovak league players develop there than go to Czech league after, because of the pay and opportunities.

No point in debating this right now, that’s for another time. I predict 4-3 German win in OT.

Only seven German players are in the top 50 scoring in the DEL. That's a small number, so the Germans have drawn up a plan I think for six years, when their young players have to play a bigger role in DEL teams. And DEL2 is a league for them, where they can gain experience, they can play more minutes each match. Unfortunately for Germany, they do not have a quality junior league, so sometimes they choose a path like Bokk. They also have late bloomers, which in turn is not bad for NT. I would say that Slovakia is in the production of prospects similarly to Germany, several top juniors with a view to the draft. It doesn't matter but ... it's good for Germany, because hockey is their third or fourth sport? In Slovakia, hockey is in the first two places, but it is a small country and they are not well off financially. That is why they often flee to the Czech Republic for development.

I like what Germany does at all levels. They will always depend on how strong a year they are in the youth, so they are not able to regularly supply players to the draft, yet in my opinion they are slowly approaching favoirts. They have been at the highest level for sixteen years, they work well with young people and they want to have more players of their own.
