first I thought have you ever heard importance of depth of a deep run, then saw your username..
There's only a finite amount of assets teams have. Wasting it on a guy who needs top 6 minutes to succeed + a bad d-man doesn't seem ideal, especially when help is needed on the back end

I thought Grier had a pretty rough start as a GM but hes been making some good moves for a bit now

Outside of the Goodrow claim and Burns trade, he’s been absolutely killing it. Trading up from 14 to 11 before the draft and snagging Dickinson last year was a very underrated move.

Ceci is actually pretty good in the playoffs, for scoring some big goals at least. Probably part of the intrigue.

Not losing sleep over this one as an Avs fan though. But I'm not counting Nill out until the deadline passes, still could have more moves up his sleeve

Granny alone deserves that. Ceci for nothing. I don't like this very much. I figured he'd pull a 3rd at least. Ah well, nothing to lose sleep over.

Don't disagree that a dman should have been prioritized, but what dman is available that would move the needle for them?

This feels like the last few mins of the trade deadline, where a team missed out on all their main targets so they just throw an asset at whatever is still available before the clock strikes midnight
Silly take. Granlund has been really good this season, arguably the the best rental forward available (I mean from a seller team, so not including a guy like Rantanen).
